What makes you happy?
My philosophy is ever evolving. A key feature in my life was a period
in which I told everyone that I was my own god, that I made everything
happen in my life. It was perhaps a lingering side effect of being a
teenager, but the cool thing is that the positive attitude and self
empowerment certainly went a long way to aiding me in grasping
opportunities and making the best of them. More recently, my family and
I have been discussing some not too dissimilar veins of thought, such
as realizing that who you are is, in no small way, a reflection of all
the decisions you've made. And going forward, you will shape who you
are by decisions. Sure there are genetics and environment and
situations and some might even say luck. But given those elements of
life, there is always that unknown that comes from you, your decision
on how you will react to whatever comes your way. And not only does
making those decisions affect your life, who you are, and your future,
but it's a great feeling knowing that you're acknowledging those
choices and your power to make them.
